This is a great tour for families with children, as we visit kid-friendly eateries and enjoy hands-on activities for the whole family.

  • Ride the Steamboat Minnehaha for a tour around Wayzata Bay. Kids can try their hand at the wheel and even toot the whistle!
  • Variety of stops to satisfy everyone. Great overview of Wayzata with hands-on experiences.
  • Enjoy interacting with the whole family as you make your own chocolate treats!

What to Expect

Your tour guide will greet you at the Wayzata Tower Clock at the end of Broadway on Lake Street East between 10:50-11:00am.  We will be walking on level ground approximately 3/4 mile.  Our tour will conclude one block down the street.

Where to Meet

Tours meet at the Wayzata Tower Clock at the end of Broadway on Lake Street. There is free parking in the Wayzata Ramp which has access from Broadway just north of Lake Street. Just walk down towards the lake and you'll see the large clock and our group.

We CAN provide substitutions for vegetarians, those who do not eat seafood, or beef, and those who do not drink alcohol, but we CANNOT make substitutions for any other food allergies (such as gluten-free or dairy-free).

Substitutions must be requested in advance with your ticket purchase.  All tastings have been prepared in advance at each location, based on the information you provided to us at the time of ticket purchase.  Last minute dietary changes on tour will not be accommodated.  This is a very carefully choreographed tasting experience.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.  Our food tours have been designed to highlight the best and most distinctive foods from each establishment.

The majority of the food tastings are not guaranteed kosher.

 

The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We also provide ponchos in case of sudden weather changes or if you do not have your own umbrella. However, we advise to check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately.

The tour price includes all taxes and gratuities for the servers and driver (if applicable), but not your guide(s).  Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although certainly not mandatory. The standard in the service industry is 15%-20%.

Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.

Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations.
