What to Expect

Your tour guide will meet you inside the Excelsior Chamber of Commerce office at 312 Water Street at 8:50-9:00AM.  We will be walking during most of the tour, however, we will be sailing on the Steamboat Minnehaha between Excelsior and Wayzata and back.

This is a full-day (6-1/2 hour) tour which will take place in the towns of Excelsior and Wayzata.  We limit our tours to 12 people so that our groups are small and everyone can hear and stay together easily – plus, we don’t take over the restaurants!  We will be visiting 5 unique and wonderful eateries on this tour where you’ll enjoy a specially prepared tasting paired with a beverage (2-3 stops will have adult beverages).  In addition, we always add in a extra surprise stop or two that isn’t on the itinerary that you are given at the start of the tour.

In between tasting stops, your local guide will share bits of history, trivia and point out things of interest along the way.  Be sure to bring your camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat and anything you might need throughout the day.

There may a brief period of time for some shopping in Wayzata, however, you will definitely have time at the end of the tour to shop in Excelsior.  The tour will conclude in Excelsior at 3:30pm.

Your local guide will take you for VIP seated food tastings at five of these inviting establishments in Excelsior and Wayzata.
