What to Expect

Your tour guide will greet you at the Excelsior Chamber of Commerce at 312 Water Street in Excelsior.  We will be walking on level ground for the tour, but will be sitting down at all of our tasting destinations.

Excelsior celebrates many local and chef-owned/operated eateries. We will be visiting five of these on this tour.

318 Cafe

Serves simple-but-tasty soups, sandwiches, salads, and baked goods along with a nice selection of coffee drinks, wine, and beer. There's patio seating and live music many evenings.


Coalition Restaurant is the creation of Chef Eli Wollenzien and combines an inspired menu with a casually sophisticated setting in a historic downtown main street building.

Dunn Brothers Coffee

Dunn Brothers Coffee is a locally owned coffee company and franchise, based out of Minnesota, that focuses on fresh-roasted coffee from around the world.

Haskell's Port of Excelsior

Parking is available at each tour’s starting location. After your purchase tickets, you’ll receive emails with parking suggestions.

Children are welcome to attend our daytime tours. The tour lasts 3 hours and we will be standing, walking and talking for a lot of the tour. Some children may enjoy the food tastings and information shared by our engaging guide, others may not. Parents know their own children best & should decide if this tour is appropriate for their children. The evening  Happy Hour tour is available to adults over 21 years of age only.  A full-price ticket must be purchased for any children (over the age of 2)  attending.


Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.

Gratuities are always appreciated, though not mandatory and not included in your ticket price. If you had a great time our tour guides gratefully accept gratuities. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 18%-20%.

Restaurant staff gratuity is included in your tour ticket price.
